You – A Poem

whatever-im-outta-here

I traveled many miles just to be with you.

Mind absorbing all we went through.

Alone you were there, just standing there.

Not even hiding that you don’t care.

You looked at me and I could see

not a trace of love in your eyes.

I turned away to walk away with

so much on my heart to say.

It was then you knew that I was

through I saw it on your face.

Too many tears I’ve cried,

No longer willing to try.

For as long as ice is cold and the

desert dry, the salty tap of tears

will never again flow from these eyes.
